What does a Train Wreck, Jesse James, and Tiger Woods have in common?

I find it interesting how we all really enjoy a good train wreck, the more gruesome the better. Two very recent train wrecks we have all basked in have been the ruining of the marriages of Tiger Woods and Jesse James.

We have all heard the sordid details of sexual escapades involving these men and some very questionable women. I find it funny how many people commented on how they could not believe what bad taste these guys had as opposed to the cheating in and of it self.

In a recent People Magazine article it discloses not only the fact that Sandra Bullock has indeed filed for a divorce but apparently had already been secretly in the process of adopting a 31/2 month old baby boy. It appears that before the infidelity bomb exploded Sandra wanted to add another child to the family roster already consisting of three of Jesse’s children from a previous relationship.

Train wrecks being what they are, I must ask just what have we learned, if anything, from all this? Men are pigs? Women should take better care of their pigs? Is a little money a dangerous thing when melting a hole in a guy’s pocket? Yes, I am trying to shed a little humor on a potentially heavy subject but I think that we can get something real out of these displays of public laundry washing.

Lets take a close look at our own relationships. How healthy are they? Do not ask “What have you done for me lately?” instead ask “What have I done for you lately?” If you are not happy with the level of intimacy that you have been receiving a quick look in the mirror should be your first option before going on the attack. How intimate have you been? How emotionally available have you made yourself? Have you taken care of yourself and remained as desirable to your mate as you were when you first met? DO you listen? Do you complain incessantly? Sometimes it is us who create the beast that we live with.

It is my FIRM belief that once you get married, you "love gun" belongs to your wife only.Any other time you keep in you pants. You made a promice to God and that promice is a secred trust that should not be broken.IT IS ALL ABOUT MORALS,SOMETHING THAT SEEMS TO BE LACKING NOW A DAYS.That's my opion.

Well I never got married and sometimes I am thrilled that I didn't with all the sh** that goes on. I agree that marriage should be a sacred thing and not broken. I also think that the media makes all these goings on way too much. Who want to know who Tiger is have sex with?? Not me.
Have a great day.

Marriage should never be selfish. As the Holy Bible says the husband and wife are one. The goal should always be to seek for the goodness of your partner. Most couples forget that in a relationship it is always "give and take". You can't just take and take without giving or your partner will be drained by you.

Faithfulness must always be on the top of our heads. Temptation is everywhere. It does not excuse no one. What can make one strong to resist temptation? It's the Word of God.

1 Corinthians 10:13. It says, "But remember that the temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can't stand up against it. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it."

I'm loving "should women take better care of their pigs?" lol!

Well, I've found that life is best if you have no pig to take care of. Makes life easier and far less stressful. Not the road for everyone, I will warn you, because you have to be a very unique individual who feels totally and completely whole as one on your own.... without "another half" to make that so. I have felt completely whole for years.
And I don't need my own pig as long as the bulls keep eyeing me longingly and making sure a girl gets wined, dined and treated fine every now and then.... ;)
I was married once, so I do know what I'm (not) missing! ;)

Most people (especially women) keep their "pigs" and put up with the slop that's they're sure to produce because they just don't know how to do anything else. And they are also afraid to not measure up to society's preferred model of what a man or woman is supposed to be and how they should live. I no longer buy into this. I did for a minute (hence the one marriage) but I came to my senses after seeing how great life is without worrying about ANY of that.
I'll tell you now, in another time or place with my nonconformist way of thinking they would have already hung, stoned, or burned me at the stake by now! lol Thank God I was born in a place that allows me personal freedom! ;)

As for worrying about what Tiger and Sandra, and now Halle do or don't do in their love lives.... I say that the people have allowed the media to shape them into these idiots who walk around worrying about people and things that don't affect or enhance their lives in the least, and stuff that at the end of the day doesn't really matter... I mean, it's not going down in YOUR household, right?
The media is teaching us to be dummies...worrying about what Angelina Jolie wore at the Academy awards, or how Jen has a new boyfriend, but she is still trying to get over Brad, but in the meantime, there's stuff going on in other parts of the world that will eventually trickle down and affect how we live and breathe right where we live and breathe. But we are totally unaware, and don't give a damn as long as we can see that shocking vid of Miley Cyrus dancing on a pole.... The morning and nightly news on some television outlets has become a joke!

I can't answer these thought provoking posts of yours too often, or I will end up writing a novel over here!
Great post, and see you around the blogs! ;)

I think we like other people's drama because it gives us vicarious excitement without any personal risk. We don't want the repercussions of living in a real life soap, but we do so love to be a fly on the wall of someone else's.

It's just the times we live in. For most people nowadays marriage is nothing more than a simple piece of paper that means zilch. Men are all pigs....what about all those woman that Tiger Woods was having fun with, they all knew he was married and had kids but that never stopped them from hooking up with him.

Woman cheat as much as men, they just don't get caught out so often. I know from personal experience, when I was young and sex crazed, I was involved with countless married woman.....
